Connects users to a server that needs security credentials.

The Software allows computers without a domain controller (or not part of a domain) to connect to a shared resource that needs specific security credentials (ie. Windows Server,  Windows 2000 or Network Attached Storage Devices.)

The Software has NO Viruses, Adware or Spyware. Includes uninstaller.

The Software has been tested on Microsoft Windows 98, ME, 2000, XP
and Vista

To Configure Win XP to act as a local file server with user controlled access

1. On PC to act as Server:

   If XP Home add Security Extensions:




   Install FaJo XP File Security Extension (XP FSE) or Local link








2. Change Local Security Policy
(XP Pro):

   Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Local Security Policy
   Local Policies > Security Options:
   Network Access: Sharing and Security model for Local Accounts

    CHANGE FROM > Guest only - local users authenticate as Guest
           TO   > Classic - local users authenticate as themselves



3. On Client PCs:

   Install Tek911 NetShare Connect

Remember that usernames might need to include the server name ie. SERVER\USERNAME
